As mentioned by LinuxDevices.com, Garmin Nuvi 8xx and 5xxx series runs on Linux operating system and powered by Marvell PXA-3xx processor. The source code of the mentioned Linux has been posted by Garmin.

Google introduced voice search on the Google Maps for some BlackBerry devices such as Pearl 8110, 8120, and 8130. This features allows users to locate businesses location by voice command instead of text command, but it works in the U.S. only.

An interesting reports was sent by a NaviGadget’s reader. The report said that iPhone with Sat Nav was spotted in Europe. It could a software tweaking based on Navigon’s navigation software. But I think this tweak will be obsolete when the next iPhone 2.0 hit the market.
